Canine Collective LLC, trading as OfferHound ("OfferHound", "we", "us" or "our"), is the controller for personal data processed through offerhound.co.uk, the OfferHound browser extension and the property-report service.
This policy covers the free panel on a supported Rightmove listing, subscriber features in that panel and paid property-report orders on the OfferHound website.
When the panel runs on a supported Rightmove property page, it reads the public listing fields needed to produce the panel. These may include the listing ID, display address, postcode, property coordinates, asking price and qualifier, floor area, property type, tenure and lease term, bedrooms, council-tax band, EPC rating and score, agent, buyer type, first-listed date, nearby stations, listing-update text and key features. If you enter a floor area, that value is used in the lookup too.
The extension sends the required structured fields to OfferHound's lookup and enrichment services to calculate property insights and obtain area context. It also submits basic and richer listing snapshots, including available property attributes and Rightmove price-history entries, so OfferHound can serve the panel and build asking-price history over time.
The extension creates a random installation identifier and sends limited usage events under that identifier. Events may include listing views, panel interactions, calls to action and detected price changes, together with the listing ID, postcode outcode and limited event details such as listing attributes, elapsed time, section name or the current listing URL. We use these events to operate, diagnose and improve the panel. The identifier is random and is not derived from a name or email.
The extension also checks OfferHound's version service. That request is a GET with no user-data body.
The extension uses the following browser stores:
Cache periods control reuse and do not guarantee physical deletion from browser storage.
The extension reads the Rightmove listing page it runs on to build the analysis. To set or clear its badge, it also reads the URL of the active tab and the URL of tabs Chrome reports as updated; it does not send the URLs of those other tabs. It does not transmit Rightmove cookies, page HTML, saved searches or browsing outside the supported Rightmove listing pages on which it runs. The extension connects only to OfferHound and contains no third-party analytics or advertising network call.
If you subscribe or link a subscription, the extension stores your subscriber email and entitlement token in Chrome sync storage and sends them with lookup and enrichment requests so OfferHound can verify access against Stripe. Free use does not require a subscriber email.
If you choose Manage subscription, the extension sends your email and an OfferHound return address to OfferHound. OfferHound sends the email to Stripe to locate the customer and create a billing-portal session. Subscription checkout sends the email and attribution fields to Stripe, and OfferHound keeps subscriber and subscription-event records and may use the email for service messages.
When you buy a report, OfferHound processes the email, property URL or address, postcode, buyer type and any stated asking price submitted for the order, together with Stripe session and payment references. Customer and order records may also include a name and phone number returned by Stripe, the amount paid, coupon, order status, generated-report location and order details. Stripe Checkout handles card entry; OfferHound does not receive or store raw card numbers in these records.
To create the report, OfferHound fetches the property listing and uses the property's address, postcode, coordinates and attributes to obtain comparable sales, EPC, planning, flood, crime, school, transport, broadband, mapping and other local evidence. These are property details, not the user's live location.
Property and report content may be sent to configured AI services for analysis, narrative generation and quality checks. This can include images of the completed report. OfferHound stores the structured property and enrichment data, model output, generated PDF, customer and order records, and a narrative snapshot used to rebuild the report.
We use listing and property data to return the free and subscriber panel, gather the public evidence displayed there, calculate property insights and maintain asking-price history.
We use the random installation identifier and usage events to associate events with the same installation, measure feature use, diagnose failures and improve the product. Server security and error handling may also record an IP address for abuse prevention and diagnosis.
We use subscriber data to activate and verify access, provide the billing portal, send service messages and maintain subscription records. We use paid-order data to take payment, generate and deliver the requested report, prevent duplicate fulfilment, support customers, investigate failures and maintain business records.
Our legal bases are performance of a contract for subscriptions and paid reports; legitimate interests for security, fraud prevention, reliability, product improvement and price-history operation; and consent for optional marketing.
OfferHound stores its own service data on EU servers. Railway hosts the service and database there. Stripe processes subscriber, checkout, payment and billing-portal data; Resend delivers customer and subscriber emails; and Anthropic and OpenRouter process property and report content for analysis, writing and quality checks. These processors may process data elsewhere under standard contractual safeguards.
To answer a lookup or build a report, OfferHound sends the minimum property query needed to property, mapping and public-data services. This can include a listing URL, address, postcode, coordinates, map tiles or an agent name. These queries concern the property, not the user's device location.
We do not sell personal data. We transfer data only to provide or improve the property-insight service, protect the service, comply with law, or use the processors and property-data services described above.
In the browser, lookup results stop being reused after one hour and version results stop being reused after six hours. Successfully sent events are removed from the local queue. Other Chrome extension data remains until it is cleared through the extension or browser profile. Records in Rightmove-site local storage remain until the extension removes or overwrites them, or the site's storage is cleared, subject to the two-minute read-time expiry for the pending subscription-link record described above. Records in Rightmove-site session storage end with the tab session.
The use of information received through the OfferHound Chrome extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can stop extension collection by disabling or removing the extension. You can also clear its extension storage and clear the Rightmove site's browser storage for records kept there. Chrome controls how sync storage behaves across devices.
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw consent, request portability where applicable, or complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. You can ask us to delete your personal data by emailing hello@offerhound.co.uk. We may need enough information to locate the relevant subscription, order, listing or random extension identifier.
We may update this policy when the product, providers or retention practices change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
